In your Senior Automation Engineer role, you’ll help us deliver better care for billions of people around the world.
As a Senior Process Engineer, you'll work with the Family Care Technology Development Team with focus on CTEC TM assets and work toward becoming a subject matter expert in this technology and mentor / coach other technical resources.
You'll initially support initiatives to optimize ICON operation as well as supporting an innovative solution to move beyond ICON, while also advancing knowledge on the Extended Nip Press for CTEC TMs.
You'll also collaborate broadly inside the corporation with R&E, Supply Chain, pilot plant, mill and multifunctional team members, and outside the corporation with vendors.
The incumbent will report to the Family Care Technology Development Owner & Team Leader.
In this role you will :
Provide leadership by example in safety, ethics, quality, regulatory, sustainability, inclusion and diversity while managing self in accordance with expected KC competencies.
Coach and mentor team members to increase technical understanding and ability to execute programs to improve business results.
Effectively work individually and collaboratively with a cross-functional team that includes R&E, Supply Chain, mill operations, procurement, equipment suppliers and external service providers to ideate and develop advancements in products, brands and mill processes.
Translate stated needs, brand promises and consumer feedback into tangible and innovative product attributes and the process necessary to produce them.
Forecast business needs 2 to 5+ years out beyond project team needs to drive long term competitive advantage
Maintain technical and scientific expertise in an area of technology and communicate impact of developments on Kimberly-Clark.
Drive the development and execution of innovation-based projects focused on long term competitive advantage.
Drive a culture of protected and documented innovation to protect and defend K-C proprietary technology, products, and business processes through appropriate use of patents and trade secrets.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications :
Required :
A Bachelor’s degree or advanced engineering degree, or relevant scientific discipline degree
7+ years of relevant engineering experience in a variety of staff or mill assignments.
The preferred candidate will have a track record of research and engineering leadership and success, as well as a solid fundamental understanding of tissue manufacturing technologies, processes, and products.
Preferred :
Experience in improving the safe operation of high-speed manufacturing and / or converting equipment and processes, with an ability to translate that knowledge into support of process, product, and capacity improvements.
Demonstrated ability to work independently or to lead small to larger teams to implement process improvement solutions or problem solve key process issues.
Effective communication skills with the ability to discuss technical issues in a business environment
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and coach less-experienced engineers.
Displayed strength of building relationships and build trust characteristics when working with mill partners.
Solid analytical skills and ability to mine process data from process data systems and provide clear direction as to opportunity areas for improvement.

Total rewards at Kimberly-Clark includes pay and a full package of benefits that can be tailored to individual needs. The anticipated pay range for this job has a range of $93,300 - $155,500 in addition to bonus potential.
Individual pay levels will be based on multiple factors including, but are not limited to, location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
