The primary purpose of the position is to complete assigned Medical Staff Services Department duties to support the operation of the department.

Responsibilities
- Update database and other programs monthly following the credentialing actions taken by the Board of Directors.
- Distribute information following monthly credentialing actions to staff
- Updates database as changes in provider information are received
- Assists Credentialing Specialist with distribution of reappointment applications, assembling reappointment files and documents, review of applications received, and update of database with information received on the application
- Supports the Credentialing Specialists and the Manager
- Courteously greets and assists members of the public, the medical staff and other hospital personnel.
Maintains confidentiality of medical staff and allied health professional activities as they relate to peer review, quality improvement and medicolegal issues.

Minimum Requirements
Preferred or Specialized
Education : High school diploma
High school diploma
Experience :
Health care experience, database use, Human Resource or credentialing services experience
License(s) / Certification(s) :
Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Proficient in use of Windows-based computer programs and knowledgeable regarding database use and running reports. Strong communication and organizational skills.
Must be able to set priorities and schedule and perform duties on a timely basis. Must be able to work efficiently with frequent interruptions, deadlines and in a team environment.

Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
