Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily operations within our warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of warehouse processes, and a commitment to maintaining safety and efficiency.

This role is crucial in ensuring that our distribution center runs smoothly and meets operational goals.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Lead a team of warehouse associates, providing training, guidance, and support to enhance performance.
• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency in materials handling and inventory management.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with cycle counts to ensure accurate stock levels.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
• Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory movements and reporting.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and resolve any operational issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse to promote an efficient work environment.

Skills

• Proven experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of 3PL (Third Party Logistics) operations and best practices.
• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Understanding of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety standards.
• Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for effective inventory management.
• Experience with materials handling equipment and techniques.
• Excellent team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Knowledge of AS400 systems is a plus for managing data effectively.
