In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in the Wildland Urban Interface ( WUI) Division and help administer special projects aimed at assisting residents with defensible space, hazardous vegetation cleanup, and preparing for wildfire.

Equivalent to graduation from high school and one year of experience in fire, building, or code enforcement inspections in a paid professional, internship, or volunteer capacity.
Municipal experience desirable. Other desirable qualifications include : Completion of California State Fire Marshal's Fire Prevention 1A, 1B, and 1C courses;
Fire Inspector 1A, 1B, 1C, and 1D; or International Code Council (ICC) Fire Inspector I; Associate’s degree in fire science, emergency management, fire protection engineering, environmental science, ecosystem management, public policy, public administration, or related field.

The exam process will include, but may not be limited to :

Competitive review and assessment of applicants' education, training, and experience
Assessment Center tentatively scheduled for the week of November 4, 2024
Written Exercise (50%)
Oral Board Interview (50%)

problem solving ability; computer and software proficiency, or any other job-related knowledge, skill, ability or qualification.
