We are seeking a Human Resources Specialist with a drive, passion, and excitement for Human Resources. Ideal candidates would have 2 to 3 years of experience in Human Resources and a hands-on approach to learn, engage, and contribute to the team.
With the support and partnership of the HR Leadership Team, the HR Specialist will collaborate, organize, and achieve a variety of HR projects and initiatives.
The role requires collaboration and communication skills within a fast-paced team environment, promoting knowledge sharing, best-practices dissemination, and workflow coordination.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborates with managers to support employee relation, corrective action process including, but not limited to grievances, conflicts, problem resolutions, etc.
- Participates in resolving labor disputes. Brings escalated issues to the Human Resources Manager.
- Review and approve disciplinary actions, coaching & Performance Improvement Plans for supervisors, team leads and associates.
- Performance Review Management
- Administers, updates, and manages HRIS system.
- New Hire onboarding including, but not limited to, processing new hires in the HRIS system, E-Verification of I-9, W-4, managing internal policies, etc.
- Responsible for maintaining & tracking the candidate Background and Drug Screens.
- Managing employee referral incentive plan.
- Preparing and maintaining employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.
- Creating and updating human resources documents including and not limited to the department’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), reporting, etc.
- Conducting exit interviews.
- Responding to employee’s inquiries in a timely manner.
- Interpreting and explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
- Managing internal transfers.
- Generating and maintaining the company’s Organizational Charts
- Administering unemployment claims.
- Completing employment verifications.
- Sustaining employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
- May perform several other similar or related duties which may not be specifically included within this position description, but which are consistent with the general level of the job and the responsibilities.
Requirements :
- Three to five years of progressive experience in the HR field, OR
- Similar combination of education and experience.
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR / SHRM) certification preferred.
