Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Lab Pack Specialist to join or our Lab Services team.

This individual is responsible for the safe handling, categorization, transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste materials.

This role ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintains accurate documentation of waste disposal activities.

The position involves client interaction, emergency response, and on-site hazardous material evaluations, including lab moves.

This position reports to Lab Services Manager . This role is based out of Glen Burnie, MD and reports to client sites in the Baltimore & Greater Baltimore area .

Responsibilities :

• Conduct onsite evaluations to assess and categorize hazardous waste materials.
• Safely pack and segregate different types of hazardous chemicals and waste for transportation and disposal.
• Prepare and label containers according to regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Document and maintain accurate records of waste disposal activities, including manifests and shipping documents.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies regarding waste management processes.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to hazardous waste handling and transportation.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of waste materials and supplies needed for waste handling activities.
• Oversee the physical relocation of hazardous materials, including packing, loading, transportation, and unloading (Lab Moves)
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations involving hazardous materials.
• Safe operation of Triumvirate commercial vehicle (Class C) while transporting hazardous materials.

Basic Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the hazardous-waste industry, or relevant military experience
• Ability to work as a member of a team as well as individually
• Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, ensuring clear and professional exchanges of information
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, develop solutions, and implement strategies to achieve positive outcomes
• Skilled in building strong, positive relationships with clients and colleagues
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
• Valid US driver's license
• Must have a reliable form of transportation
• Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
• Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company's commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
• Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)
• The Lab Pack Specialist frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for donning and doffing personal protective equipment.

This role is considered safety-sensitive

Preferred Requirements :

• Prior relevant industry experience
• Prior successful experience in a customer service role
• Active HAZWOPER 24- or 40-hour certification
• Willingness to obtain Class B CDL license
