Transcriptionist (PRN)

looking for someone to fill the position of a Transcriptionist (PRN) to work
virtually in the U.S. only.
JOB TYPES : MUST be a U.S. citizen. Flexible.
OVERVIEW : Transcribe and edit dictation of patient X-ray film
interpretation and / or treatment for radiology records, physician’s reports
and correspondence from radiology supervisors. Review transcribed
reports for spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, and proper medical
terminology.
DAILY TASKS :
Accurately transcribes and edits involved technical radiology reports.
Transcribe non-medical reports, letters and documents as requested.
Operate and keeps transcription equipment in good working condition
Work on quantity to insure reports are sent back to referring physician
within 24 hours.
Answer phone as needed.
Resolve problems regarding reports in a timely and efficient manner.
Reconcile records to make sure all orders have reports. Notifies
appropriate staff if missing a report.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS : High school diploma or equivalent.
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Prefer computer to run Windows 10 or newer.
Prefer to have 8GB of RAM minimum.
Home office set-up. Keep adequate supplies for work area.
Headset, foot pedal, computer, and keyboard to listen to and edit
radiology dictations.
Must be able to provide own computer and have access / Have high-
speed broadband Internet connection.
PAYMENT : $20.00 per audio hour transcribed. Video / audio file lengths
range from 30 minutes to 2 or more hours.
