Responsibilities :

  • Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded.
  • Managing day-to-day accounting functions, including processing invoices.
  • Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.
  • Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
  • Creating budgets.
  • Overseeing and supervising the finance department.
  • Ensuring the financial reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with regulations.
  • Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
  • Developing effective strategies for managing the company’s finances.
  • Coordinating documentation for taxes.
  • Analyzing the Company’s financial statements.
  • Preparing monthly and annual financial plans for the CEO.
  • Creating strategies to reduce costs and increase revenue.
  • Implementing the company's broader financial strategy.
  • Maintaining full transparency regarding the company’s financial performance.
  • Prepares business management proposals for new business.
  • Prepares the preparation of earnings, dividend, and other financial reports for the Company.
  • Analyzes profitability trends and reviews results with the Board of Directors.
  • Establishes and implements operating procedures to ensure proper internal controls in accounting-related areas.
  • Safeguards information for future audit.
  • Providing timely financial information to senior leaders.
  • Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
  • Compares profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
  • Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Eight to ten years of experience in financial management required. Experience working with government contracts desired.
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
