Interventional Specialists of FL is looking for a IR Technologist for a fast-paced outpatient imaging center. The incumbent will be responsible for performing a variety of radiologic procedures.
Assist with performing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures.
You’ll get to :
- Schedule patients for procedures; assist with clerical functions.
- Perform a variety of tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated anatomical areas of interest.
Adjust equipment for proper radiographic exposure techniques in accordance with radiation safety guidelines.
- Monitor accessory equipment and assist the physician with fluoroscopic and interventional radiographic procedures.
- Prepare and dispense contrast media, as well as medications to Clinician.
- Assisting the interventional Radiologist during procedures, including but not limited to, preparing instruments, catheters and other devices.
- Maintaining a sterile environment and fields from set up to finish of procedures.
- Patient monitoring for vital signs and comfort during procedures and assisting with any post procedure
- Process related paperwork using computer equipment as directed. Recording procedure details, patient data, and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist in post-procedure recovery process.
What you’ll need to be successful :
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiologic technology
- Licensed in the State of Florida and ARRT certification in Radiography (RT(R))
- BLS Certification
- Minimum of one-year experience in radiologic imaging and IR procedures is preferred.
- Proficiency with X-ray, C arm, IR procedures and protocols.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Experience with the use, QA, and troubleshooting of various types of radiologic equipment.
