A Day in the Life of a Business Planning Specialist
As a Business Planning Specialist , you will evaluate and analyze pricing requests and bids, playing a crucial role in shaping business strategy .
Your insights will contribute directly to the company’s goals, ensuring that their pricing remains competitive and aligned with market demands.
Responsibilities include :
- Evaluating bids from potential customers to assess terms, conditions, and specifications
- Investigating product requirements and making recommendations
- Conducting financial analyses related to bids
- Coordinating bid responses with the Sr. Director of Business Planning and Development
- Preparing ad-hoc reports on bid pricing for the VP of Sales
- Analyzing pricing results by product to identify trends
- Compiling data for weekly Sales Out reports from U.S. and LATAM distributors
- Supporting the creation of part numbers in SAP, including contract pricing
- Collaborating with various teams to provide bid pricing and cost analysis
Requirements and Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant business planning experience
- Experience in forecasting and pricing
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Independent and critical thinking skills
