Job Overview :
The Contract HR Generalist is responsible for supporting HR functions within our client's organization, a leading distributor and manufacturer of corrugated and value-added packaging products.
This role is crucial in ensuring smooth HR operations, including benefits administration, employee communication, and collaboration with managers.
The HR Generalist will play an integral part in managing HR processes and supporting employee relations during the contract period.
Key Responsibilities :
- Administer employee benefits, including benefits elections and managing benefits meetings.
- Compile, organize, and manage employee-related documentation and HR administrative tasks.
- Facilitate employee-facing communications and respond to HR inquiries effectively.
- Collaborate with managers to address operational and personnel needs, ensuring alignment with company policies.
- Assist in maintaining and updating HRIS systems, if applicable.
- Participate in employee onboarding and benefits meetings to provide support and ensure understanding.
- Support various HR projects and initiatives as required by the HR department.
Requirements Include :
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience :
- Previous experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with benefits administration and employee relations.
- Experience with ADP or other HRIS systems is a bonus, but not required.
Skills :
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with employees and management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with managers and other team members in a dynamic environment.
Certifications :
SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus but not required.
Knowledge :
- Knowledge of HR policies and procedures, especially in benefits administration.
- Understanding of employment laws and regulations.

Additional Information :
- Work Environment : Office-based role in Tualatin, OR, with potential flexibility for some remote work depending on business needs.
- Travel Requirements : Minimal travel may be required for meetings or training sessions.
- Reporting Structure : Reports to the HR Manager and works closely with the HR team and operational managers.
- Contract Length : This is a contract position with the possibility of extension based on company needs.
