Fund Accountant, Private Equity

As a Fund Accountant, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities - Accounting :
- Perform quarterly and annual closing procedures for all funds, including NAV package review.
- Manage fund-related activities : Capital calls Distributions (including carried interest waterfalls) Requests for information Maintenance of accounting and legal records
- Maintain performance reporting, calculate internal rate of return (IRR), and incentive metrics.
- Collaborate with administrators to address accounting queries.
- Provide support during interim and annual audits.
- Maintain the in-house accounting system.
Additional Exposure / Tasks :
- Handle private valuations.
- Prepare annual and other compliance filings.
- Assist with fund / SPV formation.
- Ensure tax compliance.
- Contribute to special projects related to overall firm operations.

Accounting Skills and Experience :
- Undergraduate / graduate degree in accounting.
- 2-5 years’ experience in private equity or venture capital.
- CPA license or path to CPA (desired but not required).
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Investran experience (a plus but not required).

Compensation :
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure : $100K - $110K bonus.
