Responsibilities
- Researches, evaluates, interprets, and provides recommendation regarding Investment Planning Services policies, practices, projects, products, and / or procedures
- Performs audits, analyzes trends and statistical information, develops reports, and provides recommendations for improving efficiencies and effectiveness to meet department and company business needs
- Fosters and maintains relationships with internal / external business partners and customers
- Establishes, documents, maintains, and communicates business procedures
- Performs a variety of oversight related activities including testing, reporting, and risk assessment, drawing on relevant knowledge and skills (obtained through formal education / training or through job experience)
- Develops creditability and collaborative relationships in Broker Dealer operations, Regulatory Compliance and with business partners.
Actively seeks input on critical decisions to achieve buy-in, on-going support, and cooperation to promote enterprise compliance
Qualifications
- Experience in broker dealer operations with an understanding of applicable laws and regulations
- Ability to quickly understand new concepts, interpret, analyze, and report across multiple areas
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of work product, including development of deliverables and executive summaries for various audiences
- Technical agility, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products
- High degree of initiative and accountability with ability to meet primary responsibilities, timelines, and effective dates with limited direction and oversight
- Comfort level and experience communicating effectively with all levels of leadership
- Ability to decipher and communicate risk and compliance topics to obtain buy-in, ownership, and drive action to achieve results
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work based on business needs
- Ability to communicate priorities and / or associated conflicts, and must appropriately escalate issues to business partners, stakeholders, team members, and / or leadership
- Great relationship building and teamwork skills - maintaining relationships and communication with key business partners and team members regarding ongoing efforts and department initiatives, and assisting other team members and peers when needed
