Summary :
We are seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team. The Business Systems Analyst will work closely with various stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, analyze processes, and ensure solutions meet business needs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of business acumen and technical expertise, with a proven track record in analyzing complex systems and driving process improvements.
In addition, the Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for assisting project managers and teams in organizing, planning, and executing multiple concurrent business projects, and play a key role in facilitating communication, managing schedules, and ensuring that tasks are completed on time.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Evaluate current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, or optimization.
- Design and propose technical solutions that address business needs and align with organizational objectives.
- Coordinate with development teams to integrate new systems or enhancements into existing infrastructure.
- Assist in developing project plans, including defining goals, objectives, tasks, timelines, and resources required.
- Coordinate project activities, meetings, and resources, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
- Serve as a central point of contact for project-related communications, both internally and externally. Facilitate effective communication between team members, stakeholders, and management.
- Develop test plans, conduct testing, and ensure that solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Identify and escalate project risks and issues in a timely manner. Work with the project manager to develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Create detailed documentation including functional specifications, process-flow and workflow diagrams, user guides, and training materials.
- Provide training and support to end-users to facilitate successful adoption of new systems or processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance systems and processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and best practices, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of project management processes.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- Previous experience in business analysis, systems analysis, and project coordination, with experience in relevant technologies and tools to perform the role's tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies, database concepts, and enterprise systems. Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Visio, SQL, and project management software is required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Experience in the property and casualty insurance domain or similar domain is highly desired.
- Experience in project management and resource planning is a plus.
