A Director of Case Ready Value Add (CRVA) Sales is responsible for the overall business management of a sales team and a segment of retail customers.
The individual must have the ability to understand all facets of the business including sales, customer / market / industry dynamics, product portfolios and corresponding production processes, customer programs and partnership agreements, to drive the business forward for growth.
This position is responsible for leading and motivating a sales team accountable to reach goals and operate with our customer commitment at the center of work.
This position and team must maintain close collaboration with our other business segments to execute against One Tyson approach and goals.
Responsibilities :
- Management and growth of current business and development of new business opportunities through white space targeting and execution.
- Joint business planning with key strategic customers.
- Negotiating business agreements / contracts holistic of our business portfolio.
- Managing team expenses and spend including T&E against annual budgets and company goals.
- Providing input and alignment to set annual operating plans for respective business and driving team actions / goals against meeting AOP metrics.
- Communicate critical customer information to sales leadership on a real-time basis.
- Driving professional growth and development with individual team members through guidance in IDPs, talent mapping, and individual coaching.
- Leading through our RIGHT behaviors and driving spirit of continuous improvement in the team and our business approach.
Requirements :
Education : Bachelor’s degree.
Experience : Minimum 10 years outside sales experience managing similar business or strategic customer segment. Retail beef and pork case ready and commodity sales experience preferred.
Computer Skills : Basic computer skills including Microsoft suite and Power BI. Knowledge of Tyson systems is helpful.
Analytics Skills : Advanced ability to assemble, read, translate, and action data; leverage consumer, customer, and marketplace data to enhance sales productivity.
Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills with respect to customer and other external interaction as well as internal, cross-functional collaboration and influence.
Negotiation Experience : Must have demonstrated ability to influence externally and internally and drive toward mutual execution of goals.
Supervisory : This position is responsible for leading a team in a single department, with team members performing similar and / or interrelated tasks and activities.
Travel : Times of extensive travel. Up to 10 trips per year.
