Teaching Faculty in Psychology - 000949

The University of Richmond Department of Psychology invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Teaching Faculty position, to begin in August 2025.

This is a continuing, nine-month appointment with opportunities for promotion. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in psychology or a related field and have prior experience teaching undergraduates by the start date.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching across the introductory curriculum, including knowledge and experience with evidence-based, inclusive, and innovative pedagogical practices.

The faculty member will teach 8 lecture and / or laboratory sections each academic year, focusing primarily on introduction to psychology and research methods courses;

additionally, the candidate will coordinate instructors teaching these foundational courses. In addition to teaching-related duties, this faculty member will engage in academic advising and service at the departmental and / or university levels.
