Robert Half is partnering with a St. George area food production facility their search for an experienced Plant Controller with a strong finance and manufacturing background.
As a Plant Controller, you will be tasked with managing and overseeing the financial operations of the plant, ensuring the accuracy of financial data and implementing effective financial strategies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain and enhance accounting system records
- Prepare annual budget, financial forecasts, and regulatory reports
- Direct monthly general ledger closing process, including purchase price variance analysis, production variance analysis, cost savings, balance sheet reconciliations, and spending analysis
- Provide financial analysis and business summaries
- Identify and develop strategies for increased efficiencies and cost savings
- Manage financial transactions including accounts receivable, accounts payable and fixed assets
- Lead personnel in monitoring and maintaining KPIs and provide performance management
- Comply with all regulatory requirements
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance / accounting with 3-5 years in manufacturing, preferably in a plant controller position in the food industry
- Leadership skills and prior supervisory experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred
- Ability to produce high-quality financial analysis, reports and forecasts
- Proven experience working within budgets and initiating cost savings
- Proficient at encouraging positive team dynamics
- Strong communication, decision-making and interpersonal skills
