What you'll do as a Drill Bore Operator
- Safely operate drill equipment on jobsite which may include but not limited to the following : Directional Drill and Vacuum Truck / Trailer
- Restore and / or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
- Develop and maintain a bore schedule
- Be responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
- Load and unload tools, materials and equipment on truck
- Be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to starting construction
- Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic
What you'll need
- To be at least 18 years old
- To be authorized to work in the United States for this company
- A valid standard Driver's License or a Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement
- Ability to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card.
- A Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) record that is deemed acceptable by the company
- Ability to maintain a safe work environment
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift / carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance
- Ability to work over-time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or on-call
- Experienced with drilling equipment and understand their capabilities and limitations
- Ability to proficiently use locators to safely identify utilities
- Experience with drill set up and design processes preferred
- Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules and operating instructions
- Ability to climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects
- You may have previous construction or utility construction experience
- Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include but are not limited to : close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus potentially near and / or far as needed.
Employees in this job classification may be exposed to dust, fumes or other airborne pathogens
Employees may be exposed to toxic or corrosive chemicals as well as moving machinery parts and pieces. Remote work may be required;
long driving and sitting will be required. The noise level in the work environment for this position is moderate
Pay Range $25 - $28 per hour
