Job title : Estimator / Project Manager
Reports to : Owner
Type : Salary / Exempt
Job Summary : Formulate detailed estimates to deliver to clients. Maintains thorough records of all project documentation including estimates, receipts, contracts and requirements, and project completion records.
Responsible for planning, coordinating and managing construction projects. Develop and manage project budgets, creating detailed schedules and overseeing resource allocation.
Conduct site visits, review construction plans and specifications, identify potential risks, implement proactive measures to mitigate them.
Estimate labor, materials, equipment and finishing costs for a project. Manages costs to ensure efficiency throughout the construction process.
Job Duties :
- Read blueprints and analyze all other applicable documents to prepare estimates
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects during estimate creation to ensure overall accuracy
- Present estimates to clients in a timely and polite manner
- Maintain thorough records
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocations and procurement strategies
- After obtaining contract, procures materials and shop drawings, develops master cut list, and collaborates with shop
foreman to set fabrication schedule and strategies
- Coordinate and oversee construction activities regarding adherence to project schedules and specifications
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on project status to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements, prioritizing a safe working environment
- Manage construction project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings and change orders
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills :
- 5+ years of relevant experience in construction
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes and safety regulations
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, including project blueprints and construction
schematics
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience with construction contract negotiations and claims management.
- Familiarity with lean construction principles and methodologies.
- Strong financial understanding and experience in project budgeting and cost control.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 Per Year
