About your new role :
As our Cost Accounting Specialist you will be an integral part of our accounting and finance organization. Relied on heavily by the Controller, CFO and the rest of the accounting group, you’ll have a lot of different responsibilities that all together help us run a great department.
You’ll be responsible for preparing and analyzing our monthly job cost to help our production team understand and improve their performance.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining our accounts receivable and keeping our customer accounts current by helping sort out any discrepancies that prevent invoices from being paid timely.
You’ll help keep our inventory records accurate by assisting in physical inventory accounts and helping to reconcile problem transactions.
In addition, you’ll have general ledger accounting duties such as creating journal entries, performing banking and other account reconciliations, and preparing audit schedules.
Your main responsibilities will span Prent Janesville and Flagstaff, AZ as well as our subsidiaries in Mexico, Puerto Rico and Costa Rica.
What you need :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Previous experience is a plus but not required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including strong Excel spreadsheet and pivot table skills
- Strong organizational, problem solving, analysis, and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional standards
