Nurse Practitioner

Nurse Practitioner needed for a contract hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in the Cranford, NJ.

Shift- 4 days per week (Days are flex but could develop into 5 days per week

What You'll Be Doing :

This position is responsible for providing primary care services, including assessing and managing patients and following established standards and practices.

• Assists physician by recording patient progress notes, issues diagnostic orders, and transcribes orders.
• Demonstrates satisfactory knowledge and judgment to provide appropriate care for patients.
• Develops plan of care for patients in coordination with multidisciplinary team and completes appropriate reports to physicians and family.
• Documents and maintains patient records of services provided according to facility and nursing standards.
• Establishes a collaborative relationship with other medical providers.
• Examines patients to determine presence of illness, utilizing physical findings, laboratory results, medical history, ascertains nature and extent of illness and prescribes treatments as indicated.
• Interviews, instructs and advises patients regarding health and illness prevention.
• Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Orders and reviews appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedure.

What You Need to Bring to the Table :

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a nurse practitioner with experience in Primary Care / Emergency Care.
• Master's degree in nursing
• Must meet credentialing requirements established for Nurse Practitioners.
• CPR certification
