Overview
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Professional Engineer possessing a comprehensive understanding of Civil Engineering as it pertains to Hydrology & Hydraulics analysis and design.
Familiar with principles and industry standards. Provides direction and supervision to less experienced staff and manages their daily responsibilities to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities
- Prepare Hydrologic & Hydraulic calculations, exhibits, and reports for civil infrastructure improvements for public and private projects.
- Data collection and analysis, computer modeling, and design of complex detention / retention systems meeting applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Evaluate and eliminate or mitigate detrimental impact of proposed design upstream and downstream of proposed projects.
- Prepare and process CLOMR / LOMR applications through local municipalities and FEMA.
- Monitor project costs and changes against budget.
- Monitor, specify, review and analyze engineering plans, specifications and reports.
- Review construction and design industry standards.
- Function as point of contact for consultants, contractors, professional and trade organizations, and other government agencies.
- Monitor agency permit review progress and respond to agency comments.
- Lead, organize and review the work of subordinate employees.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3-7 years of civil engineering experience is preferred.
- Understanding of private development process and concepts for both residential and commercial projects.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D stormwater management software.
- Proficiency in HEC-RAS & HEC-HMS.
- 2-dimensional Hydraulic experience a plus.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Infraworks required.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS required.
- Proficiency in Bentley Stormwater products (i.e., OpenFlows) is a plus.
- Experience in Civil3D required.
- Texas PE license required.
- Texas Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) preferred.
- Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
