Shifts-
- 1st shift- 7am-4pm, Mon-Thu
- 2nd shift-4 : 00pm- 2 : 30am, Mon-Thu
- 3rd shift - 6 : 00AM-6 : 00PM, Fri-Sun
Responsibilities :
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding procedures, and shop orders to determine welding requirements.
- Select and set up appropriate welding equipment (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) for various materials and thicknesses.
- Safely and efficiently perform various welding techniques (butt welds, fillet welds, lap welds, etc.) according to specifications.
- Inspect welds visually and with measuring tools to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
- Perform basic weld repairs as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Perform basic housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Skills and Qualifications :
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Experience working with different types of metals (steel, aluminum, etc.).
- Strong understanding of welding safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with various welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick).
- Ability to read and interpret welding symbols.
