Jimmerson Eyecare, LLC d / b / a Center Eye Care is a private optometry practice with a main office located in the heart of North Reading, MA and a satellite clinic inside Opticians 3 in Chestnut Hill, MA.
Our growing team provides individualized, high-quality eye care services and vision care products to our community. State of the art equipment, electronic health records, designer eyewear and above all, a group of caring and dedicated people make up the core of our practice.
We see patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric patients with needs ranging from primary eye care and contact lenses to ocular emergencies and dry eye management.
Job Title : Doctor of Optometry
Our optometrists are integral members of the team whose primary responsibility is to provide curated, high-quality eye care services to patients of all ages.

Reports to : Practice Owner / Lead Optometrist
Core Responsibilities :
Treat all patients and fellow staff in a welcoming and open-minded manner that is professional and caring
Respect and maintain patient confidentiality in all aspects of care including use of electronic health information
Contribute to the team effort by supporting all team members and maintaining an open and positive attitude
Consistently and appropriately communicate with all members of the team and patients
Consistent, methodical and organized approach to all aspects of the positions
Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain scientific information to patients
Attention to detail
Responsibilities :
Perform comprehensive ocular examinations including contact lens fittings, visual and ocular examinations, dry eye assessments including the use of IPL (and / or is willing to learn)
Diagnose defects of the eye and visual system
Provide personalized temporary and permanent solutions to sight issues based on each patient’s specific case and medical history
Prescribe medications, eyeglasses and contact lenses
Participate in the sale of contact lenses as needed
Advise patients on proper eye care techniques
Maintain detailed, accurate and timely medical records for all patients
Collaborate with other specialities, providers as needed
Requirements and skills :
OD Degree from accredited school of optometry
Active Massachusetts License
Dependability and punctuality
A sense of humor
Willingness to learn
Job Type : Part-time / Full-time : seeking 2 days of coverage in North Reading, 2 days of coverage in Chestnut Hill
Compensation and Benefits :
Our team is provided with competitive rates (commensurate with experience) as well as paid-time off, an in-office policy for all vision related needs including eyewear, contact lenses and IPL treatments, contributions to annual malpractice insurance coverage
