Job Description
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Under general supervision, applies use and application of standard engineering principles, theories, and concepts. Conducts research, analysis, compilation, design, development, and / or test of technical engineering data in support of customer requirements in one or more engineering disciplines.
May perform as a task lead on assignments of moderate scope.
- Performs a variety of analyses of technical engineering data. Interprets the data, verifies product documentation, designs, layouts, or drawings for adequacy and reliability
- Develops, documents, and recommends solutions or improvements for technical engineering problems of moderate scope
- Researches and prepares draft and / or finished engineering presentations, reports, process studies, or technical information used for such things as program reviews, design reviews, and proposal activities
- Initiates, develops, and maintains active interfaces and coordination / exchange of technical information among multi-disciplined engineering groups, subcontractors, and / or the customer.
May assist in delivering presentations to management and / or the customer
Analyzes, develops, and maintains technical databases and supportive engineering systems
Requirements
MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS :
- This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and two to four years' of work related experience
- Performing work in this job’s occupational field requires the application of complex and technical professional disciplines requiring a four-year degree or equivalent and the extensive and applied use of related concepts, practices, and methods
- The primary or most necessary skills required for this job are analytical skills. Other important skills include verbal and written communication skills and computer skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Intermediate level of proficiency with one or more of the following : radar electronicshardware and software designprinciples and operations of radar systemsRF system / subsystem layout and designRF subsystem assemblies and applicationsradar analysis and modernization analog / digital signal processingsoftware development for network communicationmodeling and simulation of physical systems
- Proficiency in the one or more of the following toolsets preferred : Modeling Software : MATLAB, SimulinkRadar Signal and Data Processing Toolsets C++, Python, or other object oriented programming languageDIS, HLA, TENA, or other federated simulation standards
SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL WITH SCI ELIGIBILITY
