Position Summary
The OR Core Inventory Specialist replenishes operating room core inventory by par level as designated in the Oracle SCM inventory application and Warehouse distribution systems.
Physical count is performed vs. perpetual in Oracle SCM. Item adjustments are made via physical checks and cycle counts.
Accurately performs data input to Oracle SCM or Warehouse Distribution Tools and picks orders from shelves. Puts orders away after they are delivered from the loading dock.
Must be able to maintain steady workflow, despite constant interruptions from clinical staff. Must have an overview of entire Oracle SCM inventory application.
Is cross trained to understand and fill in for the O.R. Materials Specialist in their absence and inventory builds. Must exercise good judgment and initiative as a team leader.
Qualifications
- 2 years Healthcare storeroom experience
- Physical Inventory Management
- Vendor Relationship Management
- Microsoft applications Excel
- MMIS Experience preferred
- Oracle SCM inventory application
- Cerner Surginet inventory application
- Ability to walk / stand / lift / push / pull for extended periods of time
- Strong Interpersonal / Organizational / Interpersonal Skills
- Detail Oriented
- Infection Control Knowledge
- Sterile Environment Knowledge
- Must be able to enter Operating Rooms during procedures
