You will be responsible for selling all aspects of private and catering events to include social, corporate, and other market segments, designed to drive revenue by prospecting and fostering relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Generates a definitive sales strategy to consistently meet and / or exceed group sales revenue goals.
  • Solicits new business opportunities via sales calls and in-person meetings, to promote private dining sales and outside catering opportunities while building relationships with new and existing client base.
  • Manages all aspects of selling private functions, including meeting with the clients to determine needs, meeting those needs, and exceeding expectations through detailed communication plans.
  • Oversees external catering events, including coordinating event logistics, catering production and preparation, and ensuring flawless execution of the event.
  • Negotiates and prepares event agreements and contracts with clients for all events booked.
  • Advises and makes recommendations to clients on menu selections, beverage selections, room assignments and design and set-up.

Arranges for all related amenities with outside vendors.

  • Follow up with client to assure quality of event, solicit next event and source referrals.
  • Tracks weekly booking pace and sales to continually develop strategies to improve private dining revenue to ensure quarterly sales targets are met.
  • Interacts with Management Team on event logistics to ensure the highest quality of food production, standards, presentation, and service.
  • Proactively acts as Lazy Dog’s Brand Ambassador by attending networking functions, association meetings, conventions, hotels, local business, and community events.
  • Partners with marketing in the development of sales collateral and marketing campaigns designed to promote group business catering and private events.
  • Attends all required Restaurant Meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of four years’ sales experience with a concentration in Catering / Private Event sales.
  • Must have a proven track record of sales performance and prospecting programs that drive event revenue.
  • High energy and outgoing personality that is customer and client focused.
  • Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Trusting, passionate, humble, and gracious.
  • Build lasting relationships with trust and respect.
  • Create fun.
