Paraprofessional / Teaching Assistant

AB Staffing is looking for Paraprofessionals / Classroom Aides that are available for the 2024 / 2025 school year.

Requirements :

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Educational Aide Certification
• CPR / first aid certification
• Experience with preschool and school-aged populations.
• Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids;
• hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone;

and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and / or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.

Job Description :

• Caseload and details of position will differ based on school location

• Contract through the 2024 / 2025 school year 35 to 40 hours per week
• Contract follows the academic district calendar

Key Responsibilities :

Provides individual and group instruction as directed; demonstrates and assists students with skill development exercises.

Implements designated portions of lesson plans. Participates with students in classroom activities

• Implements behavior modification plans. Observes and records student actions, progress, and other occurrences
• Prepares the classroom and helps manage the students; organizes the room and materials; records attendance; maintains bulletin boards
• Sets up and operates audio visual equipment
• Performs photocopying and general office clerical work
• Performs related work as required

Salary :

$665.00 $770.00 per week based on 40 hours.
