Job Description
The role of Director, Local Tactical Planning is to oversee local media tactical plan development and execution for assigned clients, leveraging experience, knowledge and skills to push fresh thinking to address client, agency, and team while steering the outputs and development of the team.
You will report to Senior Vice President, Local Investment

Role Objectives
- Develop strong client relationships as a key local strategic and business partner
- Gain a deep, holistic and evolving understanding of our client's business objectives, challenges, threats and opportunities - including forward looking awareness of emerging competitive threats
- Developing a deep understanding of our clients' customers' wants, needs, and behaviors across the full customer journey (awareness >

- Guide the tactical direction in relation to our clients' omni-channel marketing approach
- Oversee local media tactical plan development and budget
- Present recommendations to account service and clients
- Have strong understanding of budgets and media flow for assigned clients
- Effectively liaise with internal stakeholders (Investment, Finance), Clients, and external partners
- Developing POVs for our clients around business-critical issues and trends in Local
- Leading internal brainstorms and client workshops
- Participating in new business pitches
- Assist Associate Director in the development of junior team members
- Provide job performance feedback to subordinates and make talent and staffing recommendations to management
- Resource for others in resolution of complex problems / issues
- May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time
- Advocate for multicultural & diversity inclusion throughout tactical plans
Qualifications
- 9+ years media planning experience including 5 years in a management capacity
- Offline and Online media experience
- Must have strong working knowledge of Local Media
- Demonstrated expertise in local strategic and tactical planning
- Finds satisfaction in problem solving and meeting commitments with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Exceptional written and verbal skills, with ability to present to clients, maintain client correspondence and internal documentation
- Excellent management and motivational skills
- Software Knowledge : Microsoft Suite, Nielsen, Kantar Software, IMS, Flowchart Software, R / F and Optimization Software, Social Tracking tools, MediaOcean, Google Analytics
