The job

Ensures that the company’s operations can continue, and that member care is uninterrupted in the event of a disaster or disruption by working with internal stakeholders to coordinate business continuity plans.

You Will

  • Analyze potential risks and business impacts resulting from different types of disruptions.
  • Implement processes designed to improve preparedness and compliance with government regulations.
  • Field inquiries from employees and management regarding business continuity.
  • Perform business impact analyses to understand the potential consequences of disruptions.
  • Participates in the coordination of annual tabletop exercises aimed at enhancing preparedness.
  • Develop and implement business continuity strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate with different departments to create and maintain business continuity plans.
  • Monitor compliance with business continuity policies and procedures.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, standards, and best practices in business continuity management.
  • Actively support the achievement of SCAN’s Vision and Goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Preferred, but not required : Bachelor’s Degree
  • Yes, a comparable combination of education / experience and / or training will be considered equivalent to the education listed above.
  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), preferred
  • Ability to work effectively and participate in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently, organize workflow, adhere to timelines and function in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously; with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain strong working relationships with senior and mid-level management and facilitate open communication.
  • Ability to advise senior management of compliance related risks and provide recommendations for improvement.
