You will have the opportunity to support next-generation investment in communities across the nation by delivering compelling, high-impact solutions to Guidehouse clients in the areas of : plan and policy development, community engagement, land use and development, demographic and economic data analysis, transportation analysis, sustainable community design, and more.
What You Will Do
- Manage stakeholder engagement activities and communications coordination
- Own project workstreams and work closely with local communities and federal clients to establish goals and strategies, and advance TOD plans and programming.
- Work with diverse stakeholder groups to drive towards consensus
- Plan, draft, and develop high-quality written communication products on behalf of a federal client
- Work directly with federal clients and local communities to support the comprehensive evaluation of federally-funded programs, their impact, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop reports and presentations to promote the optimization and management of future federal initiatives.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis and research to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of a federally-funded Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Pilot Program to inform program improvements.
- Work with federal client and team members to assess and develop recommendations for TOD program
- Design and facilitate working sessions, survey tools, and interviews for multiple diverse stakeholders
What You Will Need
- 3+ years of experience in the land use industry OR
- BS / BA Degree in Public Policy or Land use-related field and 5+ years of industry experience OR
- Master’s Degree in Public Policy or Land use-related field and 4+ years of industry experience
excluding internships, co-ops, and fellowship / academia research)
- Detail-oriented, flexible, proactive, and able to multi-task quickly to adapt to changing client priorities and respond to ad-hoc requests
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experienced facilitator
- Strong data analysis skills
- Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet and pass requirements for a Public Trust
- Applicants must be a Permanent Resident or US Citizen
- Hybrid work schedule
What Would Be Nice To Have
- Consulting experience (federal / state / or local)
- AICP or PMP certification
- Experience with TOD or mixed-use development planning
- Experience working with federal, state, or local transportation organizations
- Experience in grant making or grant evaluation
