Upstate Community Medical, PC at Upstate Community Hospital is recruiting an Advanced Practice Provider (PA / NP) to join our orthopedic inpatient service.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Daily rounding and complete care and management of patients admitted to the orthopedic service.
- Functions as a first assist in orthopedic OR procedures.
- Assist in the pre-operative and post-operative management of orthopedic patients.
- Develops and implements patient treatment care plans, records progress notes, and monitors therapeutic interventions in collaboration with orthopedic attending physicians.
- Provide orthopedic consults to both the Upstate Community Hospital inpatient service and Emergency Department.
- The successful applicant will be a member of an interdisciplinary team and will work collaboratively with our physicians in providing orthopedic inpatient care.
Minimum Qualifications :
This full-time position is ideal for a highly motivated PA or NP who wants to contribute to Upstate Community Hospital’s growing orthopedic service.
This position is an operative position and is open to PAs and NPs with a current RNFA certification.
- NYS license
- ACLS & BLS required
- Current CPR
- NCCPA Certification or NP ANCC
- Experience in orthopedic surgery preferred
