We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the Wholesale Distribution industry, based in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky.
This role is crucial for maintaining financial accuracy within the company. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including customer invoicing, account reconciliations, and monitoring banking activities.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee customer invoicing and ensure the accurate reconciliation of Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Keep track of customer collections and respond to related inquiries
- Monitor daily banking activities and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP), which includes processing and entering vendor invoices, payments, and reconciling vendor accounts
- Process expense reports, ensuring they adhere to company policy, and correctly enter them into NetSuite
- Prepare Tax Compliance documents and other reports as needed
- Assist with inventory reconciliations when required
- Aid in the execution of month-end close processes
- Support in the preparation of annual financial documents required by external accountants
- Take part in ad hoc projects and responsibilities as needed.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Wholesale Distribution industry
- Proficient in Account Reconciliation, General Ledger, and Journal Entries
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required
- Experience with Month End Close processes and procedures
- Familiarity with NetSuite software is a plus
- Must have experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
- Must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for this role
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional certification such as CPA is preferred but not required.
