PURCHASING ADMINISTRATOR

We are looking for qualified purchasing administrators to join our team as we continue our quest to Change the World Through the Power of Food! Most recently, Jose Andres has brought his concepts to the Ritz Carlton South Beach in Miami Beach, Florida.

The Purchasing Administrator works closely with Receiving / Purchasing Manager to ensure efficient operation of the Receiving Department.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Schedules and monitors deliveries.
  • Maintains accurate records of shipping and receiving related transactions.
  • Communicates efficiently and concisely over the phone, in person, and through e-mail to coordinate orders, returns, rejections, and credits.
  • Accurately inputs a high volume of data into the computer concerning incoming and outgoing merchandise in a timely manner.
  • Checks and records the quantity of the merchandise for conformity to purchase orders and specifications.
  • Records and reports shortages and discrepancies and informs the Receiving / Purchasing Manager of any delivery discrepancies.
  • Supervises receivers to ensure a high level of performance.
  • Enters and processes invoices into the computer system.
  • Ensures friendly, efficient, and professional customer service.
  • Seamlessly work with an energetic and positive kitchen and front-of-house team to provide exceptional and timely service, exceeding our guest’s expectations.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required :

  • Minimum 1 year of similar experience. Hotel and / or restaurant experience required.
  • Detailed food and beverage product knowledge helpful.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, vendors, and buyers.
  • Ability to calculate figures, and amounts such as discounts, interest, and proportions.
  • Computer literate; familiarity with online ordering platforms and invoice processing software.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.
