We areseeking highly motivated and qualified attorneys for variousoffices. Immigration experience is preferred but we welcomemotivated lawyers with experience in other legal areas who desireto become practitioners in the immigration field.
The idealcandidate will be a great communicator team member manager andselfstarter. The candidate must also possess good business acumenand the desire to work in a fastpaced highvolume highgrowthpractice.
If selectedthe attorney needs the ability to handle a fast caseload daytodayinteractions with clients and potential clients manage a large teamof paralegals meet deadlines and be available to their clients andthe firms partners as needed.
Organizational skills and projectmanagement are also essential to the success of the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Meet with potential newclients
- Coordinate case and legal strategy
- Managemultiple cases paralegals projects anddeadlines
- Train and supervisestaff
- Prepare and revise courtdocuments
- Conduct legal research and write motions briefs and memoranda
- Keepabreast of legislative changes and judicial caselaw
- Marketthe law firms services
- Work oneSaturday a month with the potential for bonuses for new clientssigned during thosedays
- Crosssell various other practices within the law firm
- Handlecourt hearings and trials
- Become anexpert on Family Petitions Asylum Individual Hearings SIJIS UVisasWaivers etc.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- J.D. from an ABA Accredited Law School (required)
- ActiveBar License in Good Standing from any US State or PR (required)
- Authorized to work in the US
- Fluent inSpanish(required)
- 13 years of Immigration Litigation experience (AsylumDefense)
