JOB DESCRIPTION
Ecolab is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer within the Global Sensors & Equipment Group to operate within the Research, Development and Engineering department.
This position supports all business units of a globally diversified technology / service company, creating a dynamic, challenging, and varied work environment.

This position will entail a variety of mechanical engineering work encompassing new product development and current product support.
You will perform many mechanical and system design activities, including design, analysis, component and system level testing, manufacturing transfer, and post launch support.
What You Will Do :
Lead new product design and development of chemical dispensers and control systems
Support the mechanical engineering responsibilities for new product development process from early concept development through post launch
Test, evaluate, and analyze dispensing systems to determine or prove performance and reliability
Investigate and implement design improvements for quality, manufacturing, and cost improvements
Perform research, product design, and testing, for product improvement for new and launched products
Support releasing and modifying equipment specifications, through the ECR and ECO processes
Work closely with external vendors and suppliers for component selection, molded and fabricated part approvals, and troubleshooting.
Independently manage your assignments for multiple projects including individual work and contributions to multi-disciplinary teams
Works as part of a cross-functional team, collaborating closely with other engineers, chemists, manufacturing, marketing, and supply chain
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
5 years of engineering experience
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications :
Knowledge of plastic component design, fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing processes
Experience creating 3D models and drawings with SolidWorks, or equivalent, including Finite Element Analysis
Experience developing test procedures and methods, and execution of tests
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team while handling multiple tasks or projects
High attention to detail
Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
