TheDepartment of Teacher Education, Educational Leadership, and Policy (TEELP) atthe UNM College of Education and Human Sciences is seeking candidates fortemporary, part time faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses.

Weare recruiting for Part-Time Instructors in the followingareas : Mathematics Education, Science Education, Reading / Literacy / EnglishLanguage Arts, Social Studies Education, Educational Technology, and generaleducation courses.

These part time instructors are expected to teach undergraduates and graduatesin Elementary and / or Secondary licensure programs, particularly focused onsupporting teacher candidates in learning from their field experience in orderto build competence, care, cultural responsiveness, self-reflection,collegiality and evidence-based assessment.
The instructors may be teachingonline sections of these courses. This faculty member will be expected toparticipate in enhancing the coherence and effectiveness of the teacher preparationprograms.
We are recruiting qualified instructors for the following courses :
- EDUC 321L Teaching Social Studies K-8
- EDUC 330L / 331L Teaching of Reading to Culturally and Linguistically DiverseStudents
- EDUC 353L Teaching Science K-8
- EDUC 361L Teaching Mathematics K-8
- EDUC 362 Teaching Experience (7-12 seminar and field experience)
- EDUC 401 / 402 / 403 Creating Effective K-8 Learning Environments andcorresponding EDUC Field (seminar and field experience supervision)
- EDUC 462 Student Teaching Secondary
- EDUC 464 Student Teaching Seminar Secondary (Language Arts,Mathematics / Science, Social Studies / World Language) and EDUC 595 FieldExperiences (equivalent of 3 hours) A seminar linked to student teaching toaddress issues of teaching as a profession.
- MSET 365 : Technology Integration for Effective Instruction
- MSET 429 : Teaching of Secondary Mathematics
- MSET 431 : Teaching of Secondary Sciences
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications :
Master's Degree in Education or directly related field if applying to teach
undergraduate level courses.
or equivalent in doctorate in Education or closely related field
Preferred Qualifications :
- Potential to teach online or certification or experience in online teaching.
- Potential to teach or demonstrated ability to teach at the college level.
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and studentsuccess, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
