Description

The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech I performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner.

Fill / dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system.

Performs all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the Providence Mission, Vision and Values.

Required qualifications :

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Upon hire : Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician Or
  • Upon hire : Oregon Pharmacy Technician License

Preferred qualifications :

  • Coursework / Training and Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program
  • Inpatient experience.
  • Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR)
