Job Summary

Jabil is a precision machining facility with over 45 years of operating expertise in manufacturing and concept producibility and engineering support.

We specialize in aerospace products, turbine engine components, rapid prototyping, and industrial pumps, but our capabilities are applicable to any industry that requires precision machined parts.

The machinist position will set up and operate various CNC machine tools including multi-axis mills or lathes.

We are seeking a Machinist for 2nd shift. The 2nd shift schedule offers an additional 10% pay premium plus a 4-day work week (Monday through Thursday from 3 : 00 pm to 1 : 30 am).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Operate a variety of CNC Mills and / or Lathes.

Work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and verbal instructions to fabricate a variety of machined components.

Assemble cutting tools.

Manipulate controls / enter commands to set tool offsets and work positions.

Make shop calculations to determine tooling feeds and speeds.

Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers.

Maintain 6S requirements in the work area.

Complete all job-related paperwork, accurately, per requirements.

Always follow prescribed work rules and standard safety regulations.

Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.

Coordinate with supervisor and other team members to meet production schedule demands.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Education & Experience Requirements

High School / GED or equivalent.

2 years’ experience as a machinist.

Mazak Mill or Intagrex or other multi-axis machining experience preferred.

Basic computer and data entry skills

Manual machining experience a plus

Able to read job instructions and blueprints

Intermediate shop math skills

Strong attention to detail

Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Physical ability to operate machines. Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and climb to access all parts of the machine.

Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and stretching.

Must be able to lift 35 pounds at a time.

Must be able to work in noisy environments (at times).

This position requires the use of information subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

To conform to U.S. Government export regulations / ITAR, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.

S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.

S. Department of State.

The anticipated hourly pay range for this role is $20.00 to $25.00.
