Training for the position will take place during 1st shift hours (7 : 00AM - 3 : 30PM) for approx. 1 - 3 weeks.
Our site in Cleveland, OH is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician to fill a 2nd shift position.As a Quality Technician, you will act to assure quality processes and products by performing audits, inspections, tests, defect analysis, first article sample submission, programming, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of visual inspection and other equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION
Your key responsibilities will be / what you’ll do :
- Perform system and process audits
- Program and maintain programs on OGP / CMM and / or other equipment / software including SPC files
- Interpret internal and customer specifications to determine acceptable / rejectable products, and provide guidance for manufacturing personal on the interpretation of product quality standards
- Update changes to customer specification criteria as required and Ensure all necessary inspection records accompany shipments
- Perform calibration of measurement equipment if required
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements :
- High school diploma, GED, (Required)
- 2+years of experience in a manufacturing and / or Laboratory environment required, 2+ years in a Quality role in a manufacturing setting is preferred
- Knowledge of ISO and other related quality system standards (e.g., TS ) Quality System Knowledge with background in APQP, DFMEA / PFMEA and PPAP preferred
- Background in RF and or Electrical field preferred
- Fundamental knowledge of mathematical concepts
In addition, successful candidate must meet the following physical qualifications, with or without accommodation :
The technician will need to be able to read outputs from instrument measurements. ( Some readouts can be small)
The technician will also need to be able to read values from small handheld devices, such as micrometers and calipers.
