Pay Rate : $30-60 per hour

Experience Required : Minimum of 5 years of experience in event security, executive protection, or a related field.

Licenses : BSIS Guard Card, BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit, Appropriate Use of Force and / or Weapons of Mass Destruction Certification, Powers to Arrest Certification.

Shift Type : 11 / 1 / 24 1700-2300, 11 / 8 / 24 1700-2300 (Reserve Roster)

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Armed Event Security Specialist to join our elite security team. This role is tailored for professionals with a proven background in armed event security, specializing in ensuring the safety of high-profile events and clients through comprehensive, proactive security strategies.

As a critical team member, you will oversee the planning and execution of armed security operations at major events, ensuring seamless protection and maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide armed security services at high-profile events, ensuring the safety of attendees, staff, and VIP clients.
• Support and manage security operations, including overseeing entry and exit points, controlling access to secure areas, and maintaining a solid armed security presence at large-scale events and estates for high-net-worth individuals (HNI) and organizations.
• Conduct security sweeps and patrols, using armed force when necessary, to identify and mitigate potential threats during events and on estate properties.
• Respond swiftly and efficiently to any security incidents, ensuring the safety of all attendees, staff, and residents at events or on private estates.
• Maintain clear, consistent communication within the security team, with event staff, and with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety policies and protocols while documenting and communicating all security activities and incidents.

Qualifications for an Armed Event Security Specialist :

Experience :

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in event security, executive protection, law enforcement, or military service, focusing on managing armed security at events.
• We have a proven track record of leading armed security teams at large-scale events, such as corporate functions, entertainment venues, or public gatherings.

Certifications :

• BSIS Guard Card (required).
• BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit (required).
• Crowd Control Certification (preferred).
• CPR / AED and First Aid Certification for Adult, Child, and Infant (required).

Leadership and Management :

• Demonstrated leadership in managing armed security teams and coordinating with external agencies, such as local law enforcement and emergency responders.
• Ability to train, mentor, and oversee junior security personnel to ensure effective and efficient security operations.

Technical Expertise :

• Familiarity with CCTV, surveillance systems, access control systems, and other security technologies used at large venues or events.
• Experience with venue security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing armed security strategies to mitigate risks.

Risk & Crisis Management :

• Expertise in risk assessment and threat analysis, with the ability to develop security plans that mitigate potential risks while maintaining an armed security presence.
• Ability to remain calm and make quick, decisive actions in high-pressure or emergencies.

Communication Skills :

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with event organizers, high-profile clients, and armed security teams.
• Ability to prepare and present security briefings to clients and internal teams

Physical Fitness :

High physical fitness to handle the demands of armed security work, including standing for long periods and responding quickly to emergencies.

Problem-Solving Skills :

Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills, with the ability to maintain safety and security while utilizing armed force when necessary.

Client-Focused Approach :

Experience working with VIPs or high-profile individuals, ensuring their safety while maintaining professionalism, discretion, and armed security readiness.

Willingness to Travel :

Flexibility to travel as needed for assignments at various event locations, with availability for overnight or weekend shifts.
