Description :
- Reviews monthly activity from vacation companies and prepare necessary journal entries to post activity in Prologue in accordance with GAAP
- Prepares monthly reconciliations of vacation balance sheet accounts
- Run monthly reports from property management software(s) to calculate future revenues
- Calculate monthly allowance for cancellations on future reservations
- Assist with monthly variance analysis
- Prepares and analyzes large amounts of data using Excel and summarizes findings
- Work with vacation accounting staff to ensure fixed assets are capitalized according to company policy
- Run monthly metric reports from Key Data and prepare monthly statistical journal entry file for upload
- Assist with preparing sections of the monthly Board Report
- Assist with special projects
Skills and Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and / or 2+ years GL accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting
- Ability to create / use pivot tables & vlookups for large data sets
