Consumer Marketing Strategy Director
The Consumer Marketing Strategy Director builds and leads the strategic plans to drive subscriber acquisition, increase engagement, and mitigate churn for the Des Moines Register. The successful candidate will have a keen understanding of the market, collaborate with the news teams on marketing plans, work with various teams to execute the plan, and communicate results to the news and corporate teams.

Direct reporting structure to consumer subscription and revenue team with a heavy dotted line to local GM
Must be able to work in Des Moines 60% of the time or as directed by the key manager
Base Salary : $105,000 annually
Key Responsibilities :
Understand the competitive landscape in the market and factors that are impacting growth
Adhere to all pricing strategies as defined by Local Revenue and Planning
Connect with social, search, and email teams to stay abreast of most trends and best practices
Lead and be present at local events to drive subscriptions, top-of-funnel leads and brand awareness

The annualized base salary for this role is $105,000. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives / works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience. Note : variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable
