The primary role of the Clinical Administrative Director, Lymphoma Myeloma Center, is to provide strategic leadership by directing the overall operations, finances, human resources, quality and administration of one or more ambulatory center(s).

In collaboration with center physician leader(s), responsibilities include all aspects of patient care, clinical operations, education, customer service, finance, human resources, quality outcome management, and regulatory compliance.

The Clinical Administrative Director develops and maintains collegial and collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across the institution to positively impact the center operations and patient care outcomes.

The Clinical Administrative Director, Lymphoma Myeloma Center serves as an operational lead on the service line leadership team.

Key Functions :

Strategic Planning and Marketing : Participate in the strategic planning and marketing efforts related to the lymphoma and myeloma patient populations and serves as a member of the institutional nursing leadership team.

Develop annual patient volume projections based on history and new programs in collaboration with the Division of Cancer Medicine and Ambulatory Operations.

Prepares and presents presentations and reports as requested.

Financial Management : Accountable for financial oversight of areas of responsibility including charge capture, fee structure management, auditing and account reconciliation, financial and medical clearance, budget development and monitoring, supply inventory, and capital equipment budget preparation and implementation.

Ensure performance to annual operating budget by taking corrective action when appropriate / necessary.

Human Resource Management : Manage human resources including clinical, administrative and clerical staff. Oversee the selection, supervision, development and evaluation of classified personnel.

Develop, monitor, and enforce productivity and performance standards. Ensure maintenance of allied health and nursing practice standards.

Create staffing plans and justify incremental resources.

Operations Management : Supervise patient care operations including issues related to patient flow, scheduling, customer service, and the coordination of clinical research with operations.

Ensure that operational practices are improved through the development, implementation and evaluation of continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Comply with institutional, divisional and unit-based policies and procedures and external regulatory requirements.

Facilities and Physical Asset Management : Responsible for facility and physical asset planning and maintenance including facility design and inventory management.

Ensure optimal utilization of assigned resources. Justify requests for incremental space resources using institutional and divisional processes.

Requirements : Education :

Education :

Required : Master's degree in nursing (or Doctor of Nursing Practice) or in business or related field -

Graduate of a Physician Assistant training program approved by the Council of Medical Education of the American Medical Association

License / Certification :

Required : Current State of Texas Nursing license (RN / APRN) -

Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners OR eligible to be granted limited prescriptive authority by the State of Texas

Experience :

Required : Eight (8) years of clinical experience with two (2) of the eight (8) in a highly responsible management position over direct patient care activities.

Five (5) years of management experience.

Supervision :

Given : Direct supervision of nurse managers, Lead Cellular Therapy Coordinator.
