Job Description

Santa Fe South Schools, Inc. is a growing Oklahoma public charter school located in South Oklahoma City, and we need someone to fill a vital leadership position.

We're searching for an Executive Director of Operations who has strong leadership skills and the ability to approach business processes with a creative point of view.

The Executive Director will be an integral member of the leadership team and work diligently to implement district-wide initiatives efficiently, productively, and effectively.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience as an executive manager, preferably having worked their way up by formulating and executing organizational objectives successfully.

Objectives of this role :

  • Collaborate with the leadership team in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy, and system-wide processes.
  • Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning.
  • Oversee company operations and development, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met.
  • Ensure efficient and effective property development and site construction, facility maintenance and logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with national and local business and building code regulations, and take appropriate action when necessary.

Responsibilities :

  • Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement.
  • Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the leadership team.
  • Oversee operations, security, logistics, and new development projects so that sufficient investment capital can be budgeted for near-term growth targets.
  • Working closely with the C-level team and Superintendent’s cabinet, manage capital investments and expenses aggressively to ensure that the organization achieves all Board objectives, including academic effectiveness, the strategic plan and bond covenant targets.
  • Ensure all building codes are complied with and that all permit applications, fees, documents, etc. are submitted to local and state authorities correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Manage site development and new project construction and / or renovation efficiently and effectively, from stem to stern.
  • Monitor performance with tracking software and take corrective measures when necessary, and prepare detailed updates and forecasts.
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with the community, staff, key customers, clients, contractors, partners, and stakeholders.

Required skills and qualifications :

  • Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
  • Understanding of advanced business planning, project management and regulatory issues.
  • Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
  • Ability to multi-task at a high level so all new projects come in on-time and on-budget while current operations run smoothly.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages’ for effective communication (IT, construction, FP&A, bureaucrat, etc.).
  • Extensive construction-related management.
  • Ability to use multiple software systems to import / export data and to build actionable reports.
