TITLE : Director, Finance
LOCATION : Santa Monica, CA
REPORTS TO : SVP, Finance & Operations
Job Summary
The Director, Finance supports Our Client's business strategy and organizational design through daily collaboration across all departments.
This critical role works closely with the SVP to facilitate strategy and business planning and lead change management initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a natural leader with a comprehensive understanding of commercial real estate, strong relationships, excellent analytical and communication skills, a finance and accounting background, and significant experience in operational change initiatives.
Essential Job Functions :
Strategy and Business Planning
- Understand the organization's operating model and investment structure to evaluate service delivery and fee structure, balancing the needs of the organization, Blackstone, and its affiliates.
- Promote continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation across departments; engage with teams and affiliates to facilitate process improvement, idea generation, and prioritize improvement opportunities.
- Oversee strategic projects, set goals, allocate resources, and influence alignment across departments to deliver project results on time, accommodating changes in priorities and timelines.
Project Management
- Ensure alignment of projects and process improvements with business and technology strategies; translate improvements into defined projects and tasks.
- Build processes for issue identification, tracking, gap analysis, prioritization, project scoping, and tracking.
- Lead complex projects involving cross-functional teams; identify, scope, and schedule deliverables, manage risks, issues, and change requests;
proactively recommend solutions.
- Prepare tracking reports, monitor progress, create executive reports, and conduct presentations for key stakeholders on project status and initiatives.
- Lead change management and communication efforts from project design to close-out.
- Develop and maintain project plan templates for recurring projects, including process improvement and new services launch.
- Coordinate governance and Sarbanes-Oxley controls and approvals for key projects.
Enterprise and Financial Management
- Partner with SVP, Enterprise Operations, and Corporate Accounting to facilitate annual budgets, reforecasts, financial modeling, and data analysis.
- Lead cross-departmental onboarding initiatives for financial systems design, process implementation, and training to support acquisitions, market expansion, and outsourced services.
- Support organizational design with the People & Culture team by modeling headcount and compensation planning strategies.
- Monitor control environment and reporting requirements, including internal compliance testing; evaluate the Revantage service delivery model.
- Partner with department heads to develop process and internal control documentation.
- Develop in-house change management and training capabilities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting preferred; 7+ years of related work experience in consulting or relevant areas.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, strong change management skills, ability to drive organizational, process, and technology change.
- Impeccable oral, written, and visual presentation skills; attention to detail with the ability to deliver Executive-level presentations.
- Strong understanding of business process mapping; experience developing process flows and visual artifacts.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel (Power Pivot, Sumifs, Lookups, Index / Match, Regular Pivot Table), PowerPoint, and Visio.
