Overview The City of Chandler Communications and Affairs Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Digital Content Creator (Part-Time, Temporary, Non-Benefited). This position serves at the discretion of the department director. The position is scheduled to work 19 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Who We Are This position is housed in the Public Information Division within the City of Chandler’s Communications and Public Affairs Department. Public information officers (PIOs) and digital content staff make up the Public Information Division. PIOs serve all areas of the organization and assist with their media relations, communications and marketing efforts. The website team manages content on the web pages, making sure it is accurate and up to date. The social media team creates content for the City of Chandler’s social channels that focuses on programs, events, Team Chandler accomplishments and city projects. Their tasks include choosing or taking photos, creating graphics, filming and editing video content such as Instagram reels and writing captions, monitoring comments and answering questions from the public.
Who We Are Looking For Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone to create content for the City\'s social media platforms.
Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor\'s Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Mass Communications, Digital Media or a related field; and
3 years of experience in marketing or communications with an emphasis on social media; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
