Description
Responsibilities and Expectations :
- Adhere to all company safety rules and regulations.
- Adhere to company safety first policies and attend mandatory monthly safety meetings.
- Conduct job tasks in a safe manner following proper work procedures.
- Consistently maintain good housekeeping in work area(s); neat, clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Look for opportunities to increase efficiency and eliminate waste.
- Assist in the shipping and receiving of materials / products, ensuring customer specifications are met regarding quality and on-time delivery.
- Assist in inventory counts of Raw Materials and Finished Goods, as needed.
- Ensure skids are fit for shipment and repair / replace torn wrap, damaged skids, etc.
- Assist in receiving raw materials, including checking for damage and ensuring proper storage and labeling (hazards for chemicals).
- Become trained in the various work done in Oracle within the department.
- Study shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
- Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
- Monitor loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, and seal loaded boxcars and truck doors.
- Inspect material handling equipment for defects and notify maintenance personnel or contact outside service facility for repair.
Maintain vehicle maintenance report.
- Conduct movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas in a safe, timely and accurate manner.
- Direct and monitor related paperwork, ., compilation of records of unfilled orders, posting of weight and shipping charges, preparation of bills of lading.
- Miscellaneous assignments as requested

Qualifications :
- Ability to perform all physical requirements of the job and work in a safe manner.
- Ability to understand and follow operating / job procedures.
- Ability to pass Fork Truck Safety Certification and Hazardous Materials Training.
- Ability to read, write, keep neat and accurate records, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to fully understand the quality requirements of technical material products and his / her role in ensuring quality.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed to support operations.
