Job Description

Visa's CyberSource division is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Technical Product Manager (TPM) who will act as a payment's domain expert.

This is a hands-on role where you will analyze business requirements, study payment processor specifications, and translate the information into technical specifications for our analysts, engineering, and test engineering teams to build features and products that delight our merchants, partners, consumers, and developers.

The successful candidate will be able to highlight and further build their leadership skills through influence and deep knowledge about payments and its various forms.

Essential Functions :

Be hands-on with describing business rules as technical artifacts for analysts, business product managers, and any functional team that depends on this information

Define business rules in a proprietary tool using a proprietary language, perform unit tests, resolve bugs and be responsible for the delivery of the project to production

Be comfortable looking at system logs when needed and identifying bugs when they might appear during course of analysis

Discuss technical implementation details with architects and other technical teams

Partner with card acquirers, banks, and other strategic partners to enable payment processing which facilitates our global footprint expansion

Collaborate with engineering teams to build robust, reliable, and scalable payment processing platforms

Synthesize requirements into acommon set of platform and services capabilities

Candidates will be responsible for value proposition definition, communications across technical, business and product functions, cost / benefit analysis, and executive presentations

Partner with businessoperations and analytics team to build right monitoring capabilities andmetrics which helps monitor the health of the platform and facilitatesdata driven decision making

Define product requirementswhich involve writing clear, thorough, and detailed user storiesfor complex features and product sets

Be the primary liaison between business units, business product managers, engineering, and otherapplicable groups to ensure flawless integration of new and existingfeature sets

Participate in daily scrum meetings for the teams executing on projects being driven

Work very closely withdevelopment and QA organization to ensure technical specifications andfinal product meet business requirements

Highly execution focused by working in conjunction with various counterparts across functions

Ensure product vision and requirements are designed with long-term vision in mind and can be launched globallywith minimal tweaks

Work closely with senior leadership providing status, action plan and recommendations

Support GoTo Market activitiesby working closely with program management, BU product managers, otherproduct teams, finance, operations, legal, compliance, user experience andexternal partners as required

Mentor other team members who may be geographically dispersed on technical / functional or project implementation questions and support cross team collaborations.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership / site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 5 years of experience with

an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+

years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of

experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience

with a PhD

8 - 10 years of overall industry experience within a technology environment, with a track record of

successfully delivering complex software systems or services.

As part of the work experience, candidate should have at least 6+ years of experience specifically in

Payment Gateway space with specific experience around :

o Working on various alternative payment methods like Wallets, Electronic Check, ACH, Open

Banking integrations, Payouts, Alternate payments like Paypal, Alipay etc.

o Working with major card networks like Visa, Master, Amex etc. to understand card payments

o Knowledge of 3DSecure , Verified by Visa, Mastercard SecureCode, American Express SafeKey,

JCB Secure etc.

o Knowledge of full transaction lifecycle, from initiation, authorization, settlement, chargeback and

reporting

Hands on experience in developing roadmaps, writing user stories, grooming product backlogs and

coordinating prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast paced, ever changing environment.

Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills with the ability to work in a global environment and

drive consensus in cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to interface well with clients and partners at all levels
  • Experience in driving market and product decisions using data driven reports and techniques
  • Outstanding communications ability to a diverse customer audience, executives, product, and

technology stakeholders

  • Strong internal & external stakeholder management skills, comfortable operating in a matrix setup
  • Solid Technical knowledge with designing and building APIs, creating blueprints and managing with

Swagger, supporting developer portal updates and hands on experience with integration testing of

APIs. Additionally, ability to understand API usage, performance, is a plus.

Understands the core techniques used in Generative AI and some working experience where GenAI

was applied to improve efficiencies and productivity

Strong project management skills, working experience in an Agile environment and demonstrated

ability to coordinate multiple parties to deliver a product

  • Experience demonstrating strong leadership, self-motivation and accountability
  • Proactive, demonstrate sense of urgency and can-do attitude, Strategic thinker who can balance big

picture strategy with detailed, flawless execution

  • Ability to stay organized while managing competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.

Additional Information

Work Hours : Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements : This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental / Physical Requirements : This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY : The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 132,900.00 to 192,750.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable).

Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
