Job Summary :
Our client is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will conduct quality control tests, support product development, and ensure adherence to ISO standards.
This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to maintain efficiency, troubleshoot issues, and meet customer specifications in a laboratory setting.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct quality control tests on raw materials and finished products, maintaining accurate records.
- Keep the lab environment clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Prepare and produce samples for new product development using blending machines, twin-screw extrusion compounders, and injection molders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to product development and quality concerns.
- Provide input during meetings on topics like communication, safety, and production processes.
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance efficiency and maintain a safe workplace.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.
- Adhere to ISO 9001 standards for product consistency and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Perform color analysis and matching for plastic products, ensuring alignment with client specifications.
- Blend pigments and additives to prepare and test color samples.
- Communicate with clients regarding color requirements and provide technical support as needed.
- Follow ISO 13485 standards to maintain quality management systems for medical device production.
Must haves :
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Plastics Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of polymer compounding experience.
